The ITTF PTT Division has developed the first draft of the Classification Code. This will be applied with immediate effect. However, as it is a newly developed document, players, coaches, classifiers and other interested parties are invited to submit comments to the Medical Officer with a copy to the Classification Secretary and the Secretary General if possible before 10 October 2010. Should you have any questions of clarity, please also address these to the above-mentioned persons who will respond as quickly and clearly as possible.

Calendar updated with addition of Beijing tournament in December and Brazil Open factor decreased from 40 to 20.

The ITTF Board of Directors approved the composition of the Athletes’ Commission in Moscow as explained in this document. As you will see, it will include a PTT athlete elected at the upcoming world championships.

ITTF has announced the new rules for racket control which will take effect from 1st September 2010. For PTT, it means they will be implemented at the 2010 World Championships.

Should a player be withdrawn after this deadline (August 15), she/he will NOT be replaced and the country concerned may be subject to sanctions depending on the reason for the withdrawal.

All national associations are invited to apply to host the ITTF Para Table Tennis World Championships in 2014. The ITTF Para Table Tennis Division would like to ensure that the hosting association is able to have the maximum period within which to organise the World Championships. Interested associations should complete the application form and return to the ITTF Headquarters with all supporting documentation you believe will support your application. The summary of requirements is to assist you in compiling your application and budget. Fixed the ranking points of Lignano Master Open 2010: I forgot to remoive teh bonus points for medals in the open.
Please have a look at the updated rules to compute ranking points in open event and in team events in class 2,4,7 and 9.
